As its youthful color suggests right off the bat, this wine is packed with freshness and has plenty of life ahead. New-car-leather, Calabrian chili, green peppercorn and pork belly candy touch on the staples of maturing cool-climate Syrah, while more ethereal notes of violet candy and elderberry are felt with a moment in the glass. Though lighter in body, there’s so much concentration and density of fruit here, and mouthwatering acidity carries a fruit-driven, savory finish.
