The 2017 Santa Maria Valley Syrah was our first cuvée to bring together the X and Z blocks of Bien Nacido Vineyard, two historic parcels of Syrah from one of Santa Barbara County’s most iconic vineyards.

The melding of X and Z blocks provides a seamless and comprehensive glimpse into Bien Nacido’s charms. This wine tightropes between beauty and power. Z block first greets the palate with generous, soft red fruit and herbal subtleties. X block then frames these intricacies with resounding minerality and broad, elegant tannins.
