I mostly make sourdough bread, but every so often I need yeast to boost the fermentation of a particular recipe. This yeast is responsive, fast-acting and long-lasting. You can use it in any recipe that calls for active dry yeast: bread, pizza, bagels, rolls. You don't need to adjust the amount from the active dry amount, and it requires no proofing or pre-dissolving.
Since repackaging does no favors to the shelf life of any yeast, I recommend you only buy as many 1 oz. packages as you can use in a week. Store in fridge or freezer.
I am also offering the 1-lb vacuum packed brick in its unopened original packaging. If you have a way to vacuum seal after opening or otherwise feel confident about your storage and usage methods, the savings with the larger format are considerable.
